Question
3.3A_QUESTION : Is the property served by a sustainable urban drainage system (SuDS)?
LA reply
In 2012, under the Flood and Water Management Act 2010 (FWMA), Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) became the Lead Local Flood Authority with responsibility for managing the risk of flooding from surface water, groundwater and ordinary watercourses. However, Schedule 3 of the FWMA has yet to be enacted, therefore OCC is not legally required to record details of sustainable drainage systems, maintenance responsibilities or surface water drainage charges for any individual properties. Nonetheless, some information relating to property SuDS may have been submitted with the relevant planning application which can be viewed on the Council’s website: http://publicaccess.westoxon.gov.uk/online-applications/. It should be noted, however, that once applications have progressed to determination, these details are often removed from the website
